The Lagos City Suya Carnival.

The idea was borne out of the need to celebrate Africa, Nigeria and most especially our Lagos using one of the chops that has become a household name across metropolis over several years.

Suya, as we all know, didn’t originate from Lagos but you will all agree with me that the average Lagos street or road has one Suya joint or a nearby Suya Mallam joint just few streets away. Such is the love we have shown this delicacy that has seemingly become part and parcel of Lagos.

A Suya carnival, you might wonder? Well, this is one carnival that isn’t been replicated from anywhere in the world as it has its own origin here in Lagos, Nigeria. Which better way could we have launched such a carnival with such magnitude? Where could we have launched this and when could we have launched the Lagos City Carnival are the questions that ravaged our mind when this idea came to me.

For us, after so many deliberations we concluded that no where other than Lagos is perfect for us to berth with this carnival. And which better way to launch it than the commemoration of the Lagos at 50 celebration with the event rounding it off. Making a 50ft long Suya steak and breaking a record hence putting Lagos state as a whole on the world map isn’t a bad way to launch the event of this magnitude.

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has returned to Nigeria after his fraud saga.

The singer was seen happy as a crowd welcomed him at Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos.

Recall that Krane was arrested in June for allegedly booking a private jet with stolen credit card.

Dammy Krane was released from a United States jail after he met his bail conditions set at $7,500.

I Was The First African Artiste To Make A Successful Concert In London – Mr. Eazi

Mr. Eazi has been getting a lot of pessimistic reactions from Nigerian music lovers for his recent statements about setting the pace for other Nigerian artistes in different spheres. He claimed to pioneer the Ghana-Nigeria music fusion and further claimed to have left a well-paying job to pursue a music career. These claims have been challenged severally and now, the singer has made another controversial statement in a recent interview with MTV Base Africa.

In the interview the singer said:

“I felt like ever since I came and did quite a lot in London, a lot of African artists have started coming to London. It’s like London is the Afrobeat 101.

So I just feel like anyone can come and do a concert and it’s shown I’m happy that a lot of artists have been able to come and do concerts but I personally feel like Afrobeats is what is is right now, it’s a wave.”

Felebration The legend is coming Felabration has been listed amongst the Fest300 Festivals 2017 and has grown into a huge weeklong musical event in Nigeria

Ubi Franklin blasts fan over comment about failed marriage to Lilian Esoro

Music promoter and owner of TripleMG music label, Ubi Franklin, has reacted to a comment about his crashed marriage to Lilian Esoro.

A fan took a swipe at him, after Ubi on his instagram page @ubifranklintriplrmg, congratulated his colleague who just got engaged.

The fan wrote: “How about your own wedding?

“After all the garagara and shedding tears on your wedding day, you two cannot even stay together for two years. Quite shameful.”

Recall that Ubi’s marriage to actress Lilain Esoro crashed in January.

In his response, Ubi told the fan to mind his business and not interfere in his personal life

“Do you want to help me carry the shame?

” I can hand it over to you.

“Abeg let me carry my cross and don’t come near it because you might not survive it,” he wrote.
